Seriously, think about it. What is the single most perfect flash for you? Vote 10 on that flash, and think about your vote for other flashes. I mean, I know that if you like a perticular movie or game, you'd like to have it on the frontpage, daily best, or whatever, but is it really worth kicking out the ones that are actually really really good? I know Newgrounds has to change 'Best of ...' lists, in order to keep it interesting, but I'm sure the staff can handle most of that.
My message here: think about your vote. If I were a flash creator (which I'm most definetly not) I would appreciate it more if people posted some constructive criticism, instead of just 'AAAAH thAt waS sUUUUPRawsOME!!!1!!1!1!! VOTE 10!!!!1!11!!!!1!' (forgive my failed attempt to 13-year-old-NG-style talk).
While we're on this subject, I'd also like to bring up the one thing that annoys me more than all those people voting 10's: the people voting 10's and complain about people voting 0's. Arguments like: 'You try making a flash', or: 'Respect someone else's sense of humor', etc. are in 99.9999% of the cases as hypocritic as can be. People vote 10 when they think a flash is 'pretty cool', so naturally there's going to be people who vote 0 when they think a flash is 'pretty lame'. And they should be allowed to. The voting system is designed to let the best flashes stand out, the best flashes according to the entire NG community, so there are going to be people who don't like the humor used, or think flashes dó need to have good graphics, even if they are funny. Respect their opinion!
Well.. all this ranting comes to two conclusions:
- Do not brainlessly vote 10 if you 'kinda like' a flash
- Respect other people's opinions, even if they flame your favorite flash submission
